Night into Day – Artwork and Donor Wall, 2011
Fused, laminated glass in steel frame, backlit light box treatment
9′ x 25′ x .5″
Lobby of Good Samaritan Hospital; Puyallup, WA
Fabricated with Fireart Glass
Collaboration with PDG
This donor wall doubles as a focal point and work of art. Its imagery suggests local geography. I partnered with an architecture firm, donor-recognition company, client representatives, the lead contractor, glassiers, and fabricators on requirements, solutions and execution. The glass is backlit within a light box. It is equally effective with ambient light. Then hospital President John Long told me “It’s us!”

In addition to her aesthetic eye and talent, Alex’s clear communication and sensitivity to our client’s needs were invaluable.
As project manager, I personally appreciated that she is attentive to detail, flexible and reliable. Alex delivered a beautiful, technically sound product on budget and on time.”
