Fine Art: Black & White Abstracts
I use the landscape to explore how we look and what we notice. The suite of images is pregnant with possibilities and trouble. While creating them, I asked myself, where do I choose to focus? Where do I want the viewer to look? Can I embrace and acknowledge several things being true at once yet choose the path that opens most brightly?
This body of work allowed me to focus on the feelings that went along with these questions. The work opened my heart, calmed my nerves, and reminded me of what I wanted. I invite viewers to notice how they see, what they feel, and how they would like to proceed.
