Studio and Work Related Snapshots
I’ve been doing this for a long time. I completed a BA and BFA in 1986 and 1987 followed by an MFA in 1993. Since I was 21, I’ve had a studio whether in my dining room, an industrial warehouse, a converted commercial laundry, my second bedroom, the basement or garage. Residency programs have provided me with studio spaces closer to nature. The change of physical space has typically impacted my imagery and scale. I’m thankful to these non-profit residencies which include Caldera, Playa, Pine Meadow Ranch, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology. Glass has afforded me opportunities to make work in two wonderful American facilities, Bullseye Glass and Fire Art Glass, at North Lands in Scotland, and with the tremendous teams of Derix Glass, Peters Studios and Mayer of Munich. I’m adding a few images from assorted presentations as well.
